Hi my name is Scarlet I’m 19, I started lessons at Aspire Eventing in Larkspur when I was 12 under Dani Sussman until I was about 15 she had taught me so much how to groom very thoroughly especially in winter and cleaning tack after every ride. Learning jump courses and cross country and how to run a beautiful facility. I volunteered at Dreamcatchers horse rescue in Fountain when I was 13 I almost bought a horse from them but sadly “she passed away from a brain aneurysm” as I was told. Which started teaching me about proper horse care. I would have to catch horses that didn’t want to be caught and lunged some horses there. I got my first horse when I was 16 she has taught me the most, boarded her at Red Tail Ranch in woodland park and would help my trainer feed up to 20 horses at a time. My horse became lame in winter and I have had to learn all about chiropractic, massage and veterinary work. Then we moved to self-care barn in Fountain because I was tired of the drama at Red Tail. We moved to Tammarck Ranch and drama was even worse there. But me and my horse were happy we started ground work 4 times a week then we started moving up to riding 2 times a week and ground work 2 times. I loved going out 1-2 times a day to go feed her. Sadly I don’t have my horse right now she was illegally sold while I was in the hospital last year in July. I’m trying my best to get back into the horse world because that is my passion but also making money in the meantime so I can hopefully get my horse back.
