Hello, I'm Sofia C.
Hi, I’m Sofia! I’m a rising senior at Cornell University, studying Environmental Economics and Sustainable Business. I have a deep passion for all animals and love being around them. While I’ve worked with a variety of animals, I’m especially eager to learn more about horses and the equine industry. I’m a hard worker who isn’t afraid to get my hands dirty, and I approach every task with dedication and care. I treat every animal like they’re my own — your “babies” will always be in safe, loving hands with me. I’m personable, quick to learn, and excited to grow my skills while contributing positively to the barn and team. Outside of work and school, I enjoy baking, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.

About My Experience
I spent several summers in Colombia helping care for horses on my family’s farm, which taught me the importance of consistency, patience, and respect in animal handling. I also worked for 4+ years at the Greenburgh Nature Center, where I assisted with barn care for animals like cows, goats, lambs, and chickens. I'm comfortable with stall cleaning, feeding, water changes, and daily care routines. I'm a quick learner, very personable, and always open to learning new skills. I bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to every job.
