Hi! I’m Ashlyn and I’d call myself your do it all gal! I’m mainly a western based discipline rider, but I have worked with all kinds of horses. I’m more than happy to work on anything with anyone! Over the years I have ~ - Worked on a Friesian breeding and training farm, I groomed, exercised horses in both the western and english disciplines, groomed and braided horses, gave vet care to horses when needed, turned out, watered, moved broodmares and foals, and ran the families tack shop part time - Worked at a western discipline lesson barn, rode and trained new horses for lesson programs, along with working with horses with training issues, gave lessons for basic riding skills as well as timed-events - I have personally ridden all of my life mainly in the rodeo​/​timed-event ring, from running poles and barrels to roping and pushing calves on doctoring days. I have a 2016 timed-event champion title through Spartanburg Horseman’s Association, multiple SCHSRA placings, as well as jackpot barrel race placings mainly running in the open 2D - I’m a licensed equine veterinary technician, so very familiar with the equine species as far as digestive, wound, and sports medicine care, I earned my associates degree through Penn Foster College which is an AAVMA registered school. I have specialized in Equine but I know a handful of other things about different animals from my years of rodeo and schooling - I have house​/​barn​/​ranch sat for many people, I have cared for goats, cows, chickens, cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, hamsters, birds, and a variety of other animals that people had in their homes as pets. I’ve house sat both for the day, and overnight. Whether your need someone to feed for just the day or feed while you are on a trip and want to come back to a clean house, I’m your gal. With my degree I’m also very comfortable giving meds to animals, orally, in the muscle, or IV via from my schooling and job. - I’m great at time management, animal care and well being, I get along great with just about everyone, and I have a flexible schedule. Wether you need lessons for your kids, need lessons for yourself, training for your horse(s), need a farm sitter, a live-in barn manager, or an exercise rider, I’m happy to do it all!
